GOD WIELDS A RUBBER HAMMER
KRAUTHAUS is a short story in NaZine II, an anthology by War Hawk Press. Set in a time line adjacent to our own, two men become separated in the wake of World War II. Nearly 20 years later, they crash into each other again- the way a bomb, once dropped, will explode.
Alternate history Nazisploitation, mild sci-fi, considered splatterpunk by some. It's been described as brutal, vile, deeply erotic, and- my favourite review- 'the most perfect of all humiliations'.

Writing KRAUTHAUS was my easiest and hardest project in years. It squeezed till I bugged out like those eye-bulge stress toys. It wouldn't let me go. But making it real meant confronting things I hadn't dared to for a long time, most of them internal. I couldn't have done it without the support of those who helped bring KRAUTHAUS to a head.
Thank you to my internet perverts in crime (you know who you are)- in particular to K. and J.D.R. for letting me come play. Thank you to the friends I can trust with this part of me. Thank you to my spouse for being my first beta reader, an indispensable editor, and cherished advisor on how to make a disgusting situation even worse. What a freak.❣️
Afterword
Some day, I'd like to write the novel version of Citric and Apatite's story- which is really the story of a character who doesn't appear in the zine. You'll meet him at some point, novel or not.
I'm not done playing with this world yet.
